Check out that handsome baby in a suit! We journeyed to Ellicott City for Reesey and Mike's wedding. Dek got dressed up in Cousin Elliot's hand me down suit.

Dek was especially well behaved at Church and brunch. He was laughing and playing the whole time. Such a fabulous baby.

With Tita Wuiping!

Dek loves hanging with his Tita Wuiping and helping to plan this year's Fiesta Asia Street fair (you should come www.asiaheritagfoundation.org). He will be there this year helping to run the children's tent. He was unfortunately too young to mangage the Beer Garden.

Five Months Old!

Can you believe this guy is 5 months already?

Derek Flies!

Derek is reaching a pinnacle of new cuteness in his 5th month. We're in what I understand to be the baby "golden age" - adorable, not moving around yet, yet giggling and extremely sociable. Recently, he's learned a new game - SuperBaby! Mike will swing him up and he'll stiffen his whole body. He's getting so strong. We've decided to delay solids since he's still getting bad flare ups from ezcema. My diet modifications have helped but I'll be honest that it is difficult to stay on the wagon. His sleep is still a work in progress - but he does go to bed regular around 7. How long he sleeps is always a guessing game though. Ah, the lack of sleep is so worthwhile though.

Cherry Blossoms bloom might have peaked, but here is Dek just getting started with being Mr. Cute.

Already setting my boy up

Here is Dek on a date, well play date, with the lovely younger 3.5 month Isabelle. So serious even in romance. Alright, I won't meddle too early. They'll just be platonic.

All bundled up in this cold spring

Despite Mondays warmth, seems the cold will stick a bit longer. Dek still bundles up to go out.

Kelly Pear and Flying Derek

So the wonderful Kelly Pear (real maiden name: Kelly Appel, now Kelly Connell - but we still call her by her college nickname that makes very little sense) and hubby, equally wonderful Kerry were in town from "Dirty Jerz" to visit.  Kelly and I were were roomies back in the WM days and is truly one of my closest friends. We were so happy to have her and Kerry visit. Derek showed off his flying skills and entertained them throughout the weekend.

Visit from Carolyn & Wayne

Our good friends Carolyn and Wayne came to visit (Carolyn is sadly not pictured since I didn't snap a photo of her jumping him up and down). They are fabulous buds of ours and will make equally fabulous offspring one day. They came by to "test drive" Derek. Hopefully he didn't scare them away. Plus he demonstrated his jumperoo abilities.

Hanging in Woodbridge with the McCreight/Marfori Clan

This baby is always out on the town. He's gettin squirmier (is that a word?). So getting him to sit still for a photo is quite the challenge.

Where's Derek?

With those red and white stripes, I imagine he only needs a knit cap and some thick rimmed glasses and to be lost in a crowd of thousands. Well some of these blankets will do.
